Hi Olive, I use them on myself and on clients (am a makeup artist). Have you dyed your hair recently? Need any reccs?

For brunettes I suggest going one shade lighter; blondes, one shade darker; for redheads, honey/taupe if you're on the lighter side; and auburn if you're on the darker side.

I'm a bit of a brow fiend, they really frame the face

I do. My eyebrows are a blonde and brown mix, so I use a pencil to even up the tones. Don't do one line though! Lots of small hair like strokes.

Oh man, I have so been doing mine all wrong! V glad I read this one, I an off to get a new shade tomorrow and will practice my technique before doing it again!

I am currently a very light ash blonde and was using a random jade eyeliner I found whilst cleaning up my bathroom cupboards to tidy up my brow a bit! Eek, what was I thinking!

I have never noticed your brows, which is a good thing! Lol but I think everyone can benefit from of good shape and tint or use of pencil. I think eyebrows are the key feature on a face. :beware though of the blonde brow, you too could look like Bert from sesame street.

Apple- Jade??? As in jade green?!

Ummm, yep... It's more of a khaki, and I use it super lightly and I promise it blends in really well!

Apple - green pencil?? Not that I don't dig a bit of daring colour

    Here are my other tips:
    - line/brush in the direction of the hair; where your brow starts the hair usually grows up and then out towards the hairline as it lengthens.
    - when you're done, lightly brush through with an old mascara wand or spooley to smooth it out and make it look a bit more natural.
    - if they're unruly, spray a bit of hairspray on the above and use to set. Usually in the bathroom cupboard and handy if you don't want a billion eye products crowding your makeup bag.

Benefit Brow Zing is waaaaay better than an eye brown pencil. I also have a really good benefit eye brow pencil as well as a Stephan Marais one (but you can't get that anymore boo!)

I'll take you to the benefit counter at donkeymaster and you can play

Yep, I have a Sharon Lee one. Sometimes goes on a bit too dark but I just take it off with a tissue.

Cai - Thanks for the info on Benefit Brow. I might need to dash to Myer today to check it out :-)

I use one in between getting my eyebrows dyed...I have white eyebrows and dark hair so I look odd :P I use a rimmel eyebrow pencil and usually go the opposite direction to my eyebrows so it is not like a line!

No worries! It has wax and a filler. I find it gives more of a natural brow than a pencil. I have a benefit pencil that I use for daytime most of the time but brow zings gives me more of a perfect look. Also check out their all their stuff as they have great "fake it" stuff so you can get that perfect glamour look without precision or experience iykwim. I love their stuff.
