Hello
I came off the pill mid January and started charting on 10 Feb 2011 (CD1). See my FF chart attached below in my signature.
We actually conceived my son when we were'nt officially trying and I was interested to try and interpret my chart for this month.
I'm a bit confused what my temp is supposed to do this week? Is it meant to go higher than what it currently is at 36.8?
Because I only starting taking temps when I had a +OPK reading, I don't really know for sure what my average temp is supposed to be - only that it jumped around "O" time so I assume that I did O. Therefore I'm assuming that I'm on 7DPO today.
Any feedback/interpretation would be greatly appreciated
Without having the first half of you temps it might be a little more difficult to interpret you chart with only the post-O temps. But you have O'd so the temps will stay elevated until either AF comes or a BFP.
Just keep going how you are going and if you start a new cycle, then temp from day 1 and you will have more of an idea of what your temps are doing in your cycle!
It is better to temp the whole cycle to see what is going on. Because you didnt this cycle, you dont have a coverline on your chart which would help you work out where your temp should stay for a positive chart. Your temp looks good atm and I would think it would stay good as long as there was no big dip. If your LP is 14 days and you are not pregnant, i would expect your temp to drop in about 5ish days. HTH
Thanks Ngala
I was just going to take a relaxed approach to TTC but when I got onto FF I never knew that you could only concieve in those few days before O - I was so shocked becasue you always hear of people getting pregagnt from DTD once or on a one night stand etc!! It really is quite hard to pinpoint the actual day isn't it. That's why, I didn't start doing my temps from CD1.
I'm learning so much every day so if it doesn't happen this month, I know that I'll be temping like mad next month!
Hi Nelly4
Agree with all the other replies. Just wanted to add that there is also the belief that we are fertile during a certain phase of the moon - if you google 'lunar fertility' you can read some more about it. This has (anecdotally) explained a lot of women falling pregnant outside of their 'usual' fertile time.
Not sure which method you are using but for me I found the book "Natural Fertility" by Francesca Naish and Janette Roberts a fabulous starting point for all things about fertility.
Thanks BabyMama, its only my first month of TTC so I might look at investing in that book if it doesn't happen in the next few months. I had no idea about lunar fertility!
Fingers crossed my temp stays high - I'm trying to just take each day as it comes
