Remind me - what is counted as Day 1?

I recently started AF but for 2 full days before the red blood I had brown mucus. This is new to me so I was wondering where do I start counting as cycle day 1?

My last AF was only 24 days until the brown mucus started, last time it was red flow straight away. Before that was my m/c.

Yes same here....

So if the day before was just very light spotting you don't count that as day 1.

Nah, I used to get the brown mucus a lot.

Same here, day 1 is the day of red blood - my AF always starts of brown, usually 1 day then red. HTH
