    Hair extensions

    Hi ladies,
I've had hair extensions before- the kind that are "glued"- for want of a better word- into your hair in strands.
Keen for hair extensions again, I change my hair more than I change my underwear!
    My question is:
    Have you had hair extensions?
    What type did you have?

I had air extentions twice. first time for my wedding, 2nd time was to replace the first lot

I LOVED them!! I basically only got them to thicken up my hair, because it is so fine and thin. I got them both from the same place, and they were the glue ones. The 2nd time the hairdresser got a different brand and they were magnificant!!! It wasnt until 3 1/2 months did they start to matt, (the first lot did after about 2months). I so so so so want to get them again but cant afford them.

I think the glue ones are more secure, and they arent visible, even with my fine and thin hair you couldnt tell. the bead ones are obvious, and they can slip out heaps easier.

Im not sure what brand it was though...I know they were from a place in melbourne though...so sorry not really much help

I had hair extensions three times I've had sewn in glued in and braided in..
I hated my first two they were hard to maintain and everytime I wanted to wash them it woul get all tangled!!
With the braid ones I got them done American style by a south African and they were the best, no itchiness no head aches of when my hair grew and they would pull.
Make sure when they say they are 100% human Hair they are actually that..

    Thanks ladies.
Previously I had glued in human hair extensions- my sister has had the braided in kind, they left a bald spot when they came out.
Think I'll take the plunge and have them done again x

did she have the ones that get braided in, in lines? or the ones that they braid your hair into like corn rolls and then attach the hair?

    Braided in, in a line.
1 hairpiece, as opposed to small strands.

yeah see the way the american extension is, it goes ina big onelined circle over your scalp, the whole lot of your hair is braided in and then they attach the hair peices to the braids.
maybe try google american hair extension, or american way of hair extensions and it will show you..
its a whole lot better i had the ones your sister had as well and i had the same problem it took more of my hair then the extensions all together.
I loved the american way its so much nicer and doesnt ruin your hair..

i had wasp ones (with the tiny little clasps), they were quite good. i think these are meant to be better than the glued ones as they dont ruin your hair when taken out
