Could my son have thrush around his nappy area?

Hello,

My son has had a red rash around the right side of his scrotum and top of his thigh. It's around the size of a 50 c piece. It's quite red with a few dots thrown in for good measure. It doesn't seem to bother him much. Normally paw paw cream clears up any nappy rash, but it's been there for a few weeks now and it's not really moving.

I have thrush at the moment and I'm wondering whether he could have thrush as well?

Any advice on treatments would be great.

usually thrush will look like nappy rash with a few isolated spots away from the main area. Is that what it looks like? With my work I find Daktarin or Nilstat ointment works very well. Start with one and if that doesn't work try the other as they are different anti-fungals. I'm not sure about natural remedies, but I am sure there are a few good ones out there.

Thanks Little Chicken. As soon as I posted this I consulted Dr Google and looked at some pics of different rashes. It is definitely thrush so I've bought the Daktarin. Hopefully he will come good in a few days.
