We'd really like to have a special occasion to mark Jacko's entrance into our lives and family and have heard about naming days. Neither of us have been to one, so I was wondering if anyone can share what they did on their bubbas Naming day? We're thinking of having it on his first birthday so his Grandparents and Aunty can be here. Not thinking of having specially allocated mentors or godparents etc. We have faith, but don't really know where it falls religiously, so we're not thinking of having any secular involvement.

*Did you have any special readings?
*Were people open to the idea?
I had one for my boys, we had a family member direct it and name the god parents, my mother wanted to speak too. We thanked everyone for being there for us and that was about it.
