Personally I wouldn't waste your time with craft books when there are SO MANY amazing SAHM crafty websites out there. I will come back soon and post some links...

The Activity Mom is great and The Crafty Crow has all sorts of links to different craft sites for kids.

Not time for flash cards is one of my faves - I have included a link to "Letter of the Week" activities - great for developing literacy skills.

Not Just Cute does do things other than craft, but the craft stuff is excellent and cheap.

This is a kindergarten blog with some great ideas.

This link gives great ideas for "Reject Shop" style crafts and Pre-kinders is more educational than crafty but still worth a look.

I agree with Roryrory, websites are our main inspiration here.

We love the irresistable ideas for play based learning too (the kinder blog) and
    Made by joel
    frugal family fun blog
    Mini eco

I do have a few craft books but I hardly ever look at them to be honest
    Jane Bull, "make it"
    Kelly Doust "the crafty kid"
    are my picks though

Another idea I have just come across but haven't had the time to look into are kids craft magazines. Perhaps you could give them a go?
Whip up (a website that pulls together craft/sewing ideas, tutorial and blog posts from all over the web) have developed it as a downloadable pdf mag. It looks pretty good.
There is another one (in the back of my mind!) but I can't remember the name of it... I will try to get back if I remember.

ETA: Didn't find the magazine but did come up with
    having fun at home
    growing up creative
    this little project

Google should direct you to all of these sites. If you have trouble let me know and I will send you a link
