    Am I wasting my time?

I started out this morning removing some things and restacking what is in the trailer to go to the tip. While I have the big stuff out of the trailer, I thought I would go through the Man's shed (insert music of doom!) and pick up some of the garbage that is in there. (Disclaimer, I'm only taking out stuff that is blatantly rubbish, he can sort the rest). Whenever I move a few things off the floor (and put them into 'sorted' stuff boxes or rubbish pile), I get my little dustpan and brush and sweep up all the dust and dead bugs, and some dog mess (GRR!), etc where I just was. This is gonna take me forever!

Do you think I should just do a mass sweep after a few metres/half the shed/as much as I can end up doing or as I am doing now?

My 'sorted' boxes that I have so far today are: electrical, tools, car parts, 4wd parts, motorbike parts, camping (stacking all that in the caravan atm), bicycle parts, and 'other'. There is soooo much stuff in there! I'm not even sure why I'm doing it.

Good on you for having a go! My DH's shed is a MESS. I'd love to get in there & clean it up

I think the sorting boxes you have are great, I know my DH is more likely to go through things if it's 'prepared for him', so to speak. I'd probably sweep once I'd done a whole big area though - would make me feel like I'd achieved more for some reason.

    Good luck!

Lol, thanks guys. I'm actually wondering if I am wasting my time on the whole thing. And let me just add.... "His" shed is a big two car garage, with two (yes, two) add ons (one 'workshop' one lean-to, each the size of a single carport) . I don't think I will be bothered to do the whole thing, but *maybe* if I make a start.... Ha! Who the heck am I kidding? Obviously myself!

Maybe once its cleaned up I could move my old car in there?

And can't wait to get my license back, then I can take the trailer to the tip myself!

    Mmmm, lighting shed fuse.....

I think your brave and if you think it would incourage the man to keep it clean then go for it...but if your going to be very sad when a week later its back to what it was I wouldnt bother

Thanks, I wish I could light it. I don't really think that it will encourage the Man to keep it clean. I just can't take living in a s*** hole any longer (as you can now read in my new parenting thread!).

Think I'll get off the 'puter now before I break my keyboard.

The trailer is now .... FULL!

Now I just have to get it taken to the tip! <insert smilie with tapping foot here>

I don't know if I will bother doing any more in the shed of doom, I think I've encountered more than my fair share of big-a red back spiders! There's a little bit more room in there now, just inside the roller door. Other than that... I don't think anyone looking in there would be able to tell much difference!

Back into the two garden sheds that I started on last year I think. But on the other hand, if I do the big shed (who am I kidding, its a garage, not a shed), then I will be able to clear the carport of its stuff (which needs to go into the garage), and the kids will have a good undercover area to ride their bikes, etc, and *maybe* we could have a bbq! I just wish I could make up my mind. As soon as I say one thing, I think I should do the other! <insert smilie with a spinning head here>
