I just read on facebook of a mum who just had a successful VBA2C with triplets in a hospital in atlanta with a super supportive OB.
The baby boys were born at 38 weeks and were 5lbs 11oz, 6lbs 9oz, 5lbs 12oz.
What a fantastic effort and how lucky is she to have such a supportive OB. Wouldn't it be fantastic if there were more like him out there. I hope there will be a birth story to read!!!!
I saw that too, how awesome! And what brilliant weights the babies were. I've heard of rare modern cases of triplets being born vaginally, but not after CS and would never have dreamed it could happen without a homebirth. What a fabulous OB, she deserves an award!
And as for the mother, very brave of her to be a pioneer like this and show the world what a woman can do
It is the second triplet VBAC birth that the atlanta ICAN chapter has had. That OB must be something special. The sort of OB you would travel a distance to see if you wanted a VBAC!!
Now THAT is what an obstetrician should exist for!!! Complicated births, and not to hinder them, but to HELP them, instead of being pushed onto normal, healthy pregnancies where they are not needed. Awesome effort from everyone involved!
Jas if you go on facebook search for unnecesarean and it's on their wall. It's just an anouncement so no details, or you can google unnecesarean and on the right of the page they have a find us on facebook. It was posted on sunday so just scroll down till you find it. I hope the mum puts up a birth story.
The doctor's name is Dr. Joseph Tate. The mom is Michelle. I'm sure the mom will post her birth story on the Atlanta ICAN website. Maybe she would let me copy it over here when she does! I've seen a picture of the babes on the ICAN website and they were all 3 in one crib for a picture and cute as can be.
