    Question Steam or dry clean?

    Hi Ladies

So we are selling our house, and I need to get the carpets in the bedrooms cleaned. The nursery is my biggest concern which has quite a few vomit/milk stains which I have been unable to get out myself.

Any opinions on which is better for stain removal? We have 100% wool sisal if that helps at all.

    Many thanks in advance

I've rented 2 places now that require the carpets to be steam cleaned, not dry-cleaned. I must say they came up really well and didn't take to long at all, wasn't very expensive either.

Id reccomend neither. Steam cleaning wont take stains or really bad smells out of the carpet. It only refreshes the pile of the carpet.

Dry cleaning - your dirt and dust is attracted to the chemicals that they put in your carpet as it hasnt been extracted. Youre carpets may end up dirtier.

I would reccomend an extractor (carpet shampooer) as it is the only thing that will take stains out and clean your carpet 100% without attracting more dirt and dust into the pile or ending up with mould etc

If youd like any more info please ask. I work in the cleaning industry and have just done my carpets also.

    Good luck!
