    is there another way?

Since DD1 and DD2 have been sharing a room we have had bunk beds with DD2 on the bottom, they aren't the high bunks kind of low but still scary when DD2 persists on climbing up EVERY night she didn't at first but the last 2 weeks have been horrible.
Tonight she fell climbing up the steps and hit her head. its time to do something - anything! What can I do to stop her climbing up. Seperating the bunks being a last resort if possible

Gosh, no help here, but thats tricky. You separate the bunks and you are cutting out a heap of floor space... Is there any way to really personalize each of their beds and encourage them to 'own' their own space... Maybe it's a great opportunity to teach them to have their own unique touches on each bed. My mum and dad did this with us. We ended up each having a mini fort on our beds and were clearly aware that the top bunk was mine and the lower bunk was my sisters. We had to ask each other permission to 'attend' each others beds haha! We did learn not to climb all over things for the sake of it though
