Was just how everyone dishes out their praise when it comes to their kiddies.
DD1 does not handle praise very well at all. So instead of jumping up and down and celebrating something she has done, we wait until she tells us about it, otherwise she just wont do it again.
Eating wise if you tell her its yummy and she would like it, she wont touch it. If you tell her shes done a great job at eating her dinner, she wont eat the next meal.
If she cleans up her room when asked, and I praise her for doing so, she wont again. But if she comes up to me and tells me shes cleaned her room and she shows off help accomplishments then it is fine to praise her, and she will do it again.
Is this normal? Anyone else's kiddies like this?
At the moment DD2 just loves the attention, and when you praise her she kind of gives you a look that the praise wasnt needed.
