Question 4 yr old screaming cause she put soap in her fanny

No idea where to put this at all

My 4 yr old dd just came running out of the shower screaming cause she put soap in her fanny and its burning her.

(before any one asks y wasnt i watching her, i had dinner on, she was only going in to get poop off her foot)

any way, we have rinsed it out, but its still stinging her, shes walking round with her legs spread atm, not sure what to do next, im assuming the burning will fade?

I'd keep an eye on it & warn her to be careful in future. Soap in the bath used to hurt me there too.
    Hope it clears up

I would pop her in the bath for a minute, see if that calms it down. Ask her to show you the " soap" in case she has put something else more irritating. Then u need to check her vulva etc and see whether she has any rash or visible irritation. A soothing cream like nappy rash cream or mild steroid cream like sigmacort could help in shot term. If it's still painful and you can't see what's causing it a trip to the dr with a wee sample might be in order tomorow.

If you have one of those hand attachments for the shower with the hose, maybe a very gentle but thorough rinse out with warm water might make her feel better. Or get her to drink lots and lots of water so she has to wee which will help flush out any soap that might have gotten into her urethra.

She says its a teeny tiny teeny bit better.
I asked why she put a bar of soap up there, she said cause her brother washes his doodle with soap, then she said i want a doodle!

    I feel bad for her..

    Ahhh, kids...gotta love 'em.

Hope she's feeling better soon - she may have slightly irritated the skin around it or damaged her hymen (kinda delicate by all accounts), which we all know that soap and any broken skin stings like the devil

shes just started saying it really hurts again, she wont let me look at it, and we dont have a bath to put her in, she says it definatly was just a bar of soap.

Poor thing. Even now as an adult I don't put soap/bubbles in my bath becuase it burns down there. Ouchies.

What a delicate area! Luckily female genitlals are pretty smart and maybe it will regulate itself PH-wise as etc and she'll feel 100% better pretty soon.

Washing doodles? Ha. Vagina's are so good that they clean themselves :-P No soap needed! Well, not on the inside anyway.
