Should I stay positive....ADVICE/SUCCESS STORIES NEEDED!!!!
Hello
I am currently 10dp2dt. I stupidly poas yesterday and got a BFN
After spending the day crying, I decided to try and stay positive for my BT on Wednesday (although my clinic will let me go in on Monday/Tuesday if I want).
So this is one of those desperate posts pretty much begging people to tell me their stories of BFNs that became BFPs. If you have one, I would love to hear it!!!
A few more details....
-I had two embies transferred and they were good ones
-I had sore boobs up until a day or so ago (am now thinking that was the trigger shot)
-I have some minor cramping today
-Not tired, not nauseous, not anything really....except sad
-boobs a bit veiny - but maybe I am imagining it
Another question just came to mind - when (if) you got BFNs, when did your period arrive? Was it earlier or later than usual? When you were on progesterone? Or not until you had finished it?
I realise how pathetic this post is...sorry!!! Anything anyone can offer in the way of advice or information would be greatly appreciated!!
nah, it's not a pathetic post (so scrap that thought right now!)
going through AC makes it hard - you know TOO accurately when everything has happened, and it makes you read too much into everything
your symptoms up until now would have been related to the trigger shot as you mentioned. It leaves your system before any hCG climb from a pregnancy if it occurs. you are essentially 12 DPO, and that can and often is, too early to get a positive on a HPT. with DD's IUI cycle, I got a negative until 15DPO, and my levels were very low with her (to the point someone clueless told me to be prepared to lose her too, the numbers were far too low)
your cycle at this stage could go either way - i'm not going to blow smoke up your butt and say it's all good - it may very well be, but it may not. only your BT will tell you in a couple of days.
what progesterone support are you on? i found, on a fresh cycle, the progesterone support didn't stop AF, and i got her around 12DPO, on frozen transfers, i didn't get AF until a couple of days after stopping the support...
I have been pg three times. The first time I didnt poas at all. The second and third times (wasnt ttc) I poas and they were negative. Then, when I tried again a week or so later, they were positive. One of those pgs is annoying me as we speak. So I have a hunch I may be a low HCG developer/climber. Who knows??? Apparently poas didnt work for my mum either. The thing is, though, you cling to these snippets of hope rather than drown in the reality of it probably didnt work....
Either way, I appreciate you not blowing smoke up my behind!! I am pretty sure my FS said it wasnt allowed during the 2ww
Re: the progesterone. I am on the crinone gel. One a day, 90mg.
MadB, you are a stronger woman than me!! I stupidly did it after telling my DP, my FS and myself that I wouldn't.
Part of me is kind of glad I did because if it is bad news on Wednesday (or whatever day I go in) then I will get it when I am at work. If I had not have poas and got the BFN already, it would have hit me like a tonne of bricks. And it's never a good look to sob hysterically in an open plan office. lol...
I am, of course, still scouring the internet for glimmers of hope. I may have found one...
On Tuesday-Thursday, I felt really hot (especially at night). But it was the kind of hot you get with a low grade fever. I really thought I was getting a cold, but nothing has eventuated. The temps here in Melbourne have been really mild (low 20s) so I cant blame my overheating on the weather. I wouldnt say I was sinus-y or mucus-y but I had a bit of a sore throat. A few US forum fertility posters mentioned low grade fever as a symptom in the 2ww. I dont temp/chart so I am not sure if my temp actually did rise but it was very weird....I must have woken up 10 times both nights to get above the doona (only to wake up a little while later freezing cold)
I am lucky to have all of this to analyse to the enth degree otherwise I would have to do housework!
not a pathetic post at all hun *hugs* although i've never been down the IVF route we did have a battle TTC. With DD1 i got a BFN until I was 9 weeks pregnant when I'd had enough and got a blood test done instead.
I have all fingers and toes crossed for you
