    Mistreatment

Long story..... We all put up with the boss. Small company, there's 4 of us plus a contractor receptionist and 2 occassionals.

I've been there on and off since 04 and god I want to leave but we are ttc. So after this tww if I get a bfn I'm out of there!

I have a voice now, that worries me a little. Because I want to report my boss when I leave. Unfortunately he is really my only credible reference.

I have 2 other girls who I can contact who would back me up though.

    What do I do???

The amount of times we have been in tears is not right. I don't cry anymore, I backchat!

Today for example. 4.58pm. Don't go anywhere I have a letter for you to type. I rush to type it and turn my computer off. "no it's not finished"
    Me- it's 5 o'clock.
    Him- no it's not.
    Me- yes it is.
Him- **** off then I'll do it myself.

I tell dh to go get dd. It's $1 a minute after 6.

Friday I got a call to pick up dd because she was covered head to toe in a rash.

    Him- I hate you.
Me- nothing I can do she is covered head to toe, probably an allergic reaction
Him- oh don't exaggerate, covered head to toe.
Me- why don't you call and ask child care.

She was literally covered head to toe in hives when I got to her.

He makes me so angry...... And I find it harder and harder to keep my mouth closed.

Last week a girl was sick I got the job of telling him. And the reaction- ****ing hell then yelling at me out the door - why can't you people ****ing tell me.

Mmmmmmm back to work Wednesday. Thank god dh works there too- not that I know why he was offered- literally no interview- just handed a job paying $20k more and said no!

Um, you should report him regardless of him being the only person able to give you a reference. I can't believe people speak like that. I hope you get your BFP

Holy Cow,,,, That is no way to keep employees. It's ok that people don't want to befriends in a work place, but this? This has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard. Is there anyone more senior than you who can give you a reference?

Um, he told you he hates you? How unprofessional! TBH, I would be concerned with exactly what kind of reference he would give you, you may be better off reporting him because then you can tell the truth at an interview and say that you won't get a favourable reference because you had to report him.

He has always given me good references, I've left twice before - on good terms but for the same reason. This time I went back because I could name my hours and dh was there, I had been diagnosed with panic disorder and wasnt ready to go back to work, but I am comfy there, I knew it was low stress (except for the boss sometimes) so it was supposed to be a stepping stone back into "life".

My dh is annoyed because I said I wanted to report him, basically it's not fair on him because he works there too.

The boss is the managing director. It's his company and he holds 49% of the shares..... That's how small the company is, that I actually know that much detail!! The other two stakeholders are lovely but they are backseat shareholders really.

I want my bfp but it means keeping quiet for 9 more months, maybe forever! Bfn means getting out and maybe once I have scored a new job I will feel more comfy in reporting him.

I think I will make a call tomorrow ( any idea where I call???) and get some advice, get it off my chest at least before I decide further.
