Gifts for a 4yr old girl?

My DD is turning 4 in a month's time and I am totally unsure of what to get her! We don't live near shops, so anything I buy her would need to be gotten from online stores, and soon!!
So what gift/toys does your 4yo DD love??

My DD will be 4 in July and she really wants 'Squinkies' for her bday, and a gum ball dispenser thingy to put them in. Theyre meant to be the next big thing after Zhu Zhu pets apparently. Oh and I have bought from this shop before and theyre quite good: http://www.toysparadise.com.au/girls-toys/squinkies

    My dd LOVES barbie dolls!!
She plays with them all day, everyday!

    My DD just turned 4.

Winners with her were a kite, a music box for her special things (plastic jewels), puzzles.
She loves 'dancing clothes' which means dress, skirts, tu tus. Dressing up is great fun.
She is really active, so likes balls (you can get a great soccor ball online from Oxfam) and running games. She is interested in skipping ropes, but that is a bit tricky. Also likes the stilt things.

    have fun!

I'm in exactly the same situation at the moment. DD is four in may too (Tan where has this time gone?????) and no idea what to get her at all. My kids are very spoilt (not only my fault) but I just want to get her a few little things.
I'm loving these ideas so far - especially a cabbage patch doll. I've still got mine.

    Oooh, thanks everyone!!

DD loves crafty stuff too, we have heaps of it though she got alot for chrissy, so probably won't go there! Though maybe an easel...??
We have kites, puzzles aren't a huge hit at the mo, though we have a few anyway, have a skipping rope, tonnes of balls, bikes, scooters and outdoors-ey stuff and dress ups which she does love, maybe I'll get her some different dress ups.
She is into Barbies now, but I have told friends and family to do the barbie thing, so didn't wnat to get her too much of it.
Squinkies I have never heard of and I don't know if she knows what they are either! Will have to have a lookseee though!
We have a million DVD's, and tinkerbell is loved int his house too, though she has gone off it a bit now, Tangled too. I had thought of some play jewels, maybe some threading and big beads for her to do her own??
Thought of a cabbage patch doll or baby bjorn as well, but she has a few dolls and baby equipment (pram/bed) and she doesn't play with them much, so I'm not sure if it would be a waste?
CD's might be good she loves to dance! Maybe a little sterio to go in her room too?

Thanks for the ideas everyone! Keep them coming!

My dd turned 4 last week and I took her to the shops to pick her presents as I always get it wrong. All she wanted was a Jessie doll from toy story and an umbrella! She also got to go see a kids show at the opera house which meant a special train trip, which she was thrilled by!

I was going to suggest art and craft stuff too. If she got some for christmas, does she have somewhere to store it all? Some little organisers that she can put beads, ribbons, sparklies etc in to sections. Easel was also my other suggestion..I saw one the other day at babies galore that had the roll of paper at the top of the easel.. I wonder if you can order them from their website? I have ordered over the phone before with them, and got them to send out to me as I don't live where the store is. If you check out the babies galore website, they have Super Specials, and on page 5 they have easel chalkboards, and matching table and chairs..(Freckles brand) Maybe a little tea set to go with it?

Is she too young for Beados? Not to mention other little people around who could consume tiny little beads. I saw that they have a Tinkerbell beados pack.
If you google for the squinkies, you should find them. I saw them at our little country woolworths today of all places! So I'm going to guess they will be everywhere!! Thinking of squinkies, what about Littlest Pet Shop? They have all those ones you can collect, and there is also the (Moose brand) Party Animals. Once she outgrows them (or even doubles up on some of them) you could sell them off on ebay.

Personalised anything, back pack, stickers, books, shirt (moo or stuck on you websites)
Does she do cooking with you? Maybe her own little apron? The Cupcake Courier website has some Jessie Steele Aprons for kids. (and some matching ones for mums too)
Some pretty hair ties/bands etc.. Have you checked etsy? I spend way too long on there looking at stuff! I usually use the U.S. etsy website, but there is an australian one, I'm just not sure what it's like.. Speaking of etsy, I purchased a silver cupcake charm, with white icing and little diamantes (sp?) for sprinkles, on a necklace from a lady in Canada who makes jewellery. The charm was a little heavy for the chain, so I took it to Butterfly Silver recently and got one that is hopefully a bit better.. Postage wasn't too long (can't quite remember how long now) either.

My DD is 4 in April. She is getting a DSXL (she has been asking since 2 yrs and we said when your 4, when your 4 and unfortunately now the time has come) DH is not happy but I insisted we told her we would so a DS it is and a few Dora games.

She loves Barbies also especially the Barbie DVDs (and there is a new one out). Big DD is into Beados so little DD wants some too. I think she is a little young to do them properly although the box does say for 4yrs plus.

I've never heard of the squinkie either. My DD too also loves her umbrella she got for Christmas. Also those cheaper ipods would be nice if she loves music. They fit loads of songs on and can be brought cheap.

My DD also loves dress ups and little cute boxes for her cute little things like hair accessories etc. DD also loves those babies in your pocket.
