    OMG, I just won my dream camera on eBay!!

    I have been looking at getting the Canon 550D for a couple of months now and have been looking constantly on eBay. I was going to buy one from HK but there are so many on there, I've been waiting for a deal with a few extras.

    I had one on my watch list which is actually in Melbourne, so it has an Australian warranty, but it's the Asian branded model - the 'Kiss' - which makes it a bit cheaper. I got an email earlier to remind me bidding was ending soon but I forgot about it. I checked my emails and thought I should have another look at it and realised the price was still really good with just 10 minutes to go. I got a couple of bids in during the last 30 seconds and won it!! I got the whole lot for $855 plus $20 postage. I'm thrilled!!

    I guess I'll be spending a bit more time in the Art & Photography threads now

    Congrats love it is an awesome camera! I'm actually doing my diploma in photography now and I went out and brought it ... Spent way more than I should have!!! And I'd recommend getting a uv filter to protect from scratches and marks on the lens (could be very costly!)

    Yay!! Awesome We have a kiss which DF bought from HK, i think he spent $1000 all up but got a really awesome lens. I had good intentions of learning how to use it properly, but its his baby so i am letting him do all of that, i am happy with the photos i am getting just by choosing auto and pointing and clicking... LOL

    Hope it arrives soon!
