    My first MCN purchase!!

Itti Bitti has 40% off the bubblegum colour today and after seeing MCN IRL today for the first time I took the plunge and bought 3 tuttos!!!! I got extra bamboo pads too so the 3 nappies with the extra 3 soaker pads should do a day if she doens't do any poosplosions! LOL.. and if I like them I will get more...

I am sooo excited! It's funny cause I was totally grossed out by it until i saw them and then I kinda liked them!!!

So what is the best flushable liner to put in them??

Honestly, I found the flushable liners are pretty useless with newborn, BF poop.

And don't get too addicted to the cloth craze, LOL..

    Congrats on your first purchase

With breast fed poop, I know a lot of people who dont rinse, but just throw the poop ones in the washing machine for a rinse, then add the other nappies.

I sometimes use fleece liners, but cleaning poop off doesn't worry me any more, I don't even have a little squirt, I use a spoon lol

I use a spoon too. Got the idea from Raven years ago.

The tuttos are great Mrs Bexie! I'll get some more if I ever get to have another.

I have a little squirt and love it! Used a spoon for DS1 when he was in terry flats I didn't use liners for DS3 when he was a fully BF new born, I just put them in poo and all rinse first then full wash cycle. BF poo just dissolves in the water. Now that he's on solids I squirt the poo off then dry pail and wash every 1-2days I only use liners now if I need to use cream on a sore bum.

Shhh! No one tell her how you can get custom made nappies, where you can design what picture or words goes on them. Don't look at the custom albums of Gensea Forge, Trissy Tots, Widdle Wuns or Wild Child = dangerous.

It can be VERY addictive, but it does make nappy changing fun - yep, FUN! Instead of going "sigh, another nappy change" you get to go "which fluffy cuteness am I putting on your tooshie next!"

Poo rolls off ittis, you just turn the nappy upside down and it comes right away into the loo.

I started with itti's but I am getting customs now. Boys clothes are so boring so he has pretty nappies instead.

    Have fun!
I just chuck them all in the wash & wash on heavy duty with no powders. If any poo hangs around I'll do a quick re wash in hot water. Happens on occasion, but only on one or 2 boosters, never on the whole load.
I only use liners when I use creams too, & I use fleece ones so I can, again, just chuck it all in

I bought some flushable liners recently (from someone on here, but I can't remember who! Sorry to that person!) I mustn't know how to use them properly, coz I was under the assumption that they were supposed to keep the poo off the nappy, but it never works that way for me. Most is kept off, but not all. It's not really a problem, but that's what I got them for. Perhaps I'll keep them until DD has more solid movements.

I actually called them back and ordered 3 more, so I have 6 bubblegum colour tutto's, 3 extra bamboo soaker sets and 2 microfibre soaker sets...
SO I will have 6 nappies, 3 bamboo soakers and 2 microfibre ones to start off with. Still want to get disposable liners but no one in toowoomba sells them so gotta get them off the net.

Is a wet bag good to have if you are only using the MCN's at home?

I use cloth full time and can count the number of times I've had to use a wetbag on one hand. It's a nice to have but not necessary.

I've been using MCNs for nearly 5years now and never used a wetbag. I'm never really out long enough, but when I had DD at my 3 () baby showers I got given so many nappy sacks, that I just used them. Still using them for DS actually. They're biogegradable so that does me.

I have 2 wetbags that I use when going out. Just easier than a plastic bag - which might be accidentally chucked out....
