Did anyone see the news last night - nappy covers!

Some WAHM was selling her ruffled covers at market today, she was making sales of $1000 - people coming from Sydney & Melbourne to make the purchases.

    Go figure!

    Bahahaha
I was there but not until much later and i missed out!!
Georgie girl is awesome and very popular!! Its ridiculous to try to get her ruffles on fb, they are so pretty!

I know the lady who spent $1000 on auction for a pair but what they didnt say was that it was a charity auction...

Sent from my iPhone so sorry for the spelling and punctuation!!

I couldn't believe people had flown there specifically to buy them! What is so special about them?

I am lucky to have a pair of them that I got a few months ago, before all the hype got as big as it is now.
Yes they are extremely cute but to be honest I wouldnt go out of my way to get another pair (very unlikely now anyway)
I love love love this market as there are soooooooooooo many talented and wonderful women there selling their wares and heaps of equally as cute ruffle bums.

Good on her though I just hope it doesnt get too big for her now.

I read about it too and wondered what it was about her nappies in particular that set her apart from the rest.

hmmm good on her! she's probably going to need some help now though, they seem to be booming! what's the brand called? Georgie Girl, did i hear right? and are they actually nappies? or just nappy covers that go over the top of cloth nappies or disposable? have to laugh at the hubby that travelled up from melbourne to 'keep his wife happy' no way my DH would do that for us over nappy covers

    Nappy covers.. not actual nappies.
I have one pair and I think she is making me another pair cause I travelled from Toowoomba but missed out.

They really are gorgeous, but it is an obsessive thing! LOL. Once you get ruffles you get hooked!

Yup, her brand is Georgie Girl, she is on FB as her main selling avenue.

Are they waterproof nappy covers to go over AIO or just like bloomers? I think it's good that she's found a niche so to speak!

They're bloomers. I have a boy to cover so I guess they don't hold as much appeal.

I did used to like her on facebook, but then she had a tantrum about another WAHM making something similar....uh hello you aren't Marco Polo girlfriend....that really put me off her. There are tonnes of mums making some beautiful ones.

I think I'll stick to Pixie's minky covered fluffy butt. There are HEAPS of patterns for bloomers about on the net. Some even have ruffles and such. I saw a few that could be quite easily done by my novice sewing efforts. If she hasn't patented them and the designs are altered by a certain amount prior to being sold then she has no right to be tantruming about it!

LOL!! I was seeing that from both sides and TBH I think GG was a bit more aggressive about it!

I have started making ruffled bloomers and will be selling them soon, not as pretty as hers but I have only just started sewing!
Man i wish I could sell one pair let alone have 9000 fans on FB and have people pay $1000 to come buy them!!

    lol
