DS has to have one in a few months to check his vocal chords for nodules and just suss everything out as he has a raspy/husky voice that apparently isn't normal.
He's going to be 2 days away from being 4 when it's done.
I was just hoping someone could give me an idea of what to expect afterwards. How he will be feeling and what we will need to do for him.
I'm also freaking out that my baby has to have an operation!! (although I know it's nothing serious and that so many others go through so much more, and I'm not trying to downplay that... but he's my baby!! and I've never once ever had an operation so it's totally new for all of us).
If it is he will probably have an itchy throat afterwards and it may be a tad sore, i would give him lots of ice or ice cream and just follow what the dr's suggest also, I hope it all works out babe and he is given the all clear, and his just gonna have a different voice compared to others...
GL and keep us updated
Thanks heaps for your reply!
Yes - It's practically a camera getting shoved down there for a more thorough look at what's happening. I think I will make sure I have a rather large stock of ice, ice cream and jelly. He will absolutely LOVE that diet! haha.
