so My ds desperately wants to invite some kids from pre school over on a weekend to play during the day (not a sleepover or anything)..
The trouble is, we don't know their parents (I have said hello to one of the mums on the way in and she was on her way out).We always arrive at pre school after the parents have already been, and the parents don't pick their kids up at the same time as me, hence why we all don't know eachother.
would it be acceptable to leave a note in the parents pigeon hole to say please call to organise a play date?? not sure how to word it. what would you do?
Totally acceptable! Just a little note saying - hi im (childs name)'s mum. (childs name) has been asking to have a friend come over to play one day, would love it if you could call me and we can organise a day.
I find its hard as adults to approach new people, so if you make the first move all the hard work is done. Plus you might even make yourself a new friend!
so I actually got to speak to one of the boys dads on thursday, and he tookk my ph number and said he'd give us a call over the easter break ds will be so excited to have one of his pre school friends over to play.
That's great, how exciting for him! We get a list of numbers, I had to get over my fears and call the mum of the girl dd had made friends with. They have had a playdate and dd is going to her birthday tomorrow. The mum is lovely and the girls are going to the same school so hopefully we will become friends.
