What's on your list for the winter?
    Anything you have to have?
I'm in love with the 70's colour combos that are popping up in the shops. I might head down to the op-shop and see if I can find an original before forking out for new.

I'm dying to buy a military coat but I'm kind of over clothes that last a season and look dated so I'm hesitating. Then again, maybe if I buy it now I might squeeze next year out of it too.

I'm kind of wanting a cape - not sure why just channeling my inner Dracula lol.

Also loving the old school trousers a-la Katherine Hepburn. I'm so getting me some of those.

Mmmmm a red loop scarf. I love loop scarves, so much easier to wear than having dangly bits
A trench coat - I would love red, but thinking beige might be more practical, have seen some decent priced ones at Target - just in my budget. I am short though so have a bit of trouble not looking swamped. Those military style jackets look ace!
Some good quality red and beige ballet flats. I am sick of buying Rubi shoes for $10 and them wearing out so fast. I live in flats at work because I dance around with the kids.

I need some warmer tops- at the moment all I have are lots of singlets and tees that I layer up with cardigans a la Cotton On over the top - what sort of warmer tops are in this season ladies? I also tend to wear my skinny jeans most of the time, or else a skirt with leggings/tights and boots/ballet flats.

For leather flats I keep a look out at wittner, witchery, tony bianco, DJ's and myer. They always have things on sale, it helps buying out of season too (which isn't much help at the moment but good to keep in mind).

I tend to wait until the end of the season then buy simple shoes that are trans seasonal and don't date, then buy cheaper shoes (like rubi) for things that are "of the moment" and will date.

Emma... When I get some money, you can style me too please! I dress pretty simply most of the time and struggle a bit when I need to dress up.

    Are capes really in fashion??

In my head capes are totally on trend. I have no idea what Vogue has to say on the subject.

Short ones are, especially ones with detailing around the shoulders/hardware/fancy buttons.

    Couldn't agree more Onyx!

I always wear what makes me happy, puts a smile on my face and a bounce in my step, screw it if it isn't in fashion, life is too short!

Emma & OP - Maybe we can go out together?! I had a window shop with mum today and actually found a shop where I adored most things! So excited, that hasn't happened to me in about 10 years! Feeling inspired right now. And booked in for a haircut too
