    Recommendations for playpens

    Hi,
does anyone have any recommendations for good playpens?

We have a nine month old bub who is now commando crawling and appears to be really good (and fast) at it!! We live in a tiny house that is under renovation, so to give her some independent playtime and to also let me get some chores done around the house, we thought a playpen might keep her "contained" for a little while. Also we wanted to use the pen to provide a barrier around a wood heater when it is hot/burning.

Hoping to get some feedback on types/where to buy/price etc.

    Thanks

I bought mine of ebay. It's huge and can be many different shapes. It has a gate and currently is one long wall covering several doorways and power points. I love it! and It's all wood.NEW BABY KIDS 5 IN 1 NATURAL WOODEN PLAYPEN/SAFETY GATE (eBay item 270726433482 end time 30-Mar-11 20:30:21 AEDST) : Baby

we had a wooden modular one. so it could be one small square, or a rectangle or even bigger. Even when we had it as a rectangle, there was enough room for a few adults to be in there as well as toddler. i loved that there were no hinges for little fingers to get caught in. i think i've seen them in baby bunting catalogues, although ours was off ebay.

it was easy to transport to, e'g an outdoor bbq or event, so you can put the LO's in there, they are on grass, but can't run off/get into the bbq stuff. Great for peace of mind, i loved the safety aspect. Always put her in the playpen when cooking was going on.

We have a hexagonal one and the angles make it really good for using parts to block off christmas trees, tv etc.
