Question Buying a cheap house to holiday in/renovate, suggestions for location in Victoria?

For the past year DH and I have been talking about buying a cheap (like under $200,000) house to holiday in and in the meantime do some renovations. We work in an industry that we live in a house with no rent or utilities so are managing to save alot but don't want to buy a house (to live in or rent out) at the moment however we get 2 days off a month and 4 weeks holiday a year and in this time we spend so much money in accomadation etc just to get away from work so we thought about buying a cheap little house but we obviously do not want to loose money when we sell, we have some areas in mind that I have been researching for the past year however I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Freeburgh near Bright - you could also rent it our to people going to the snow in winter.

I haven't looked at any of those, so thankyou

And also, as we will not be using it alot, as you mentioned we could use it to rent out as a holiday house. We cannot take time off during school holidays/long weekends as these are our busy periods so we could rent it out and get a little extra money.

Lakes would be great - you would hard pressed to find anything under 400 at Philip Island let alone 200 unfortunately, maybe the Grampians? or somewhere up on the Murray?
