quick question: my best friend is 4 days ahead of me with her 3rd aswell her latest midwife appt said she is still measuring 3cm smaller she is 27weeks along
should she be worried? shes told to go back in 3 weeks to be remeasured and if its not catching up then she needs an ultrasound
ive always measured 2 weeks under and it freaks drs out until they do an ultrasound which youd think by my 3rd pregnancy theyd realise i always measure 2 weeks behind mines a tilted uterus
I started measuring smaller (according to the doctor) at around the 27wk mark too, and didn't really catch up with what measurements "should" be (I am nearly 6ft tall, have a long waist and baby engaged early). I was two extra ultrasounds - one at 28wks and another at 34wks to check growth. Bubs is still on the smaller side, just measuring on his own growth curve. We've think he'll be long and lean like his parents.
I was always a couple of cms behind with DS2... But it was because he was laying with his legs stretched across or something, he never engaged until he was on his way out! I think there are lots of reasons why there can be variation in measurements so I wouldn't worry if everything else is going well then all good!
