I always use plain, straight, as it comes in the packet - corn flour.
Works miracles!!!!!
My little man has gastro, thats not my concern (well it is obviously but not the point of this thread), anyway his little tooshie is red raw. Totally red rawI've been applying sudo cream, then later today paw paw cream.
I've been alternating between disposables and cloth. We're going through the nappies alot today so I'm alternating to make sure I had some cloth for tonight. but its to the point now where he screams when I put either nappy on, he is still awake and I'm sure its because of the painobviously with gastro he cant go nappy free, but also the chaffing, I let him have nappy free time today (in the garden) and he seemed in pain with that to.
any suggestions?

Thanks hun, just searched the pantry and ofcoure its the one packet I dont have, grrr, little man is finally asleep, ended up giving him some panadol to hopefully take the edge ofI hated doing it but didnt see any other option. Still have no idea how to tackle it tomorrow either, will go buy some cornflour though hope that helps.
DD1 Has a sore bottom at the moment too, was screaming all the time with it. ( i think it is from something she has eated though & just need to narrow it down to what her nanna gave her tomato's & i think it is the acid in that) In the end, I have put her into a salt water bath & honestly, it's the 1st relief she has had in the last few days. Now with keeping on top with the pawpaw cream (or try the cornflour in your case) and regular salt water baths, it is almost gone today (yesterday it was bleeding raw!)
Poor little man, I hope he gets better quickly!
Cornflour is great to sort of dry it up and then I used to use latherings of Curash or any zinc based cream with sposies changed hourly til it cleared up. Poor darling, hope he is better soon. xoxox
