Scary 'bad' presence or something else?

I'll give you a background to what I was doing last night. I went out with a group of girls that I know from various places & ages. Some are really good friends, others more social friends. Anyway we had dinner and then three of us went out for a dance. I had a couple of wines over dinner but was sober and I drove home about 1am.

I pretty much went to bed straight away but my DD was unsettled and was coming back & forth from her bed into ours. She didn't mention why she was unsettled but did want a drink of water and a sandwich..... (which she had in her bed)

I don't know what time it was, maybe around 3/4am but I was trying to doze off to sleep & was starting to think about dinner with the girls when all of a sudden I felt like someone was shaking me violently and there was a loud ringing in my ears. I tried to yell out for it to stop but I couldn't project anything and then I thought - what do I do? So in my mind I called upon my deceased relatives to come and help me - all of a sudden it stopped! I was a little scared. DH was asleep and all I could think of was DD & hoping she was ok. I sent some 'white' light/bubble to her - I felt too scared to go down to her bedroom. She eventually come back into our bed and slept until about 8.30am.

Do you think this was something in my mind - possibly influenced by a couple of wines I had or do you think it was a negative energy opr perhaps a 'message'?

I have had something similar happen to me before when I was a teenager but I felt like there was a weight on top of me & again I tired to call out but couldn't....

First thing I thought of is ... Did someone put something in your drink?

However, if it was an "angry presence" you have done the right thing in surrounding yourself in white light and asking for protection. There are some cleansing "rituals-if not for a better word" you can perform to eliminate any lower energies that may be hanging around your home... but even if you are not into those, you can just ask poeple you have known who have passed to spirit, or your guardian angels, to watch over your family and home to take away those lower energies, as you done with your protection that night.

No, nobody put anything in my drink - I didn't leave the table all night & my glass was only topped up by me & I never left it alone.

It hasn't occured again. I did google about it but I can't remember what it said. I don't feel scared anymore.

    Thanks for your replies

Hun, I've had similar experiences to you in the past. Basically, I thought I was wide awake but in fact I was kinda still sleeping but everything seemed so real. One example was when I thought I woke up in the morning, but every time I tried to get up I felt like someone had their hands on my chest and I couldn't get up. Of course I was freaking out as I thought I was fully awake, but then very soon after I sat upright in bed and I knew I was dreaming. Very scary stuff, it's happened a few times, with each time I found going to sleep pretty stressful. Another time same thing, someone was pushing on my chest but this time I saw a whitish shadow above me and then it slipped out of my bedroom with me waking soon after. My poor heart almost jumped out of my chest. I live in a unit that I've bought brand new so there hasn't been any history here. Maybe I'm living on some sacred bit of land
