Would it be better to have settlement before or after the baby is due?
Or perhaps at the same time, just to keep life interesting?
Assuming all goes to plan on the weekend we might be buying a house. I'm due last week in June but given my history of high BP I'm expecting to go early again. So I'm thinking of June as my due month rather than a specific date.
Now, if we get this house we have the option of whatever settlement we want. I'm thinking 120 days which would make settlement in the first week in August. We'd likely move house in the week after.
I would have plenty of family support in moving so I'm not too stressed about that. And we would only be moving 200 metres up the road so we are not uprooting our lives.
I guess I'm seeking reassurance that we are not mad and that moving house with a toddler and a newborn can be done!
We settled one week after my due date, I figured I'd go over & hubby & family would do all the work & I'd supervise. He came at 39 weeks so we moved with a 2 week old & I'd strained my tummy muscles during the birth so I hurt myself a bit moving things I shouldn't. Bub was no trouble though, he slept in the basinette while e moved stuff & cleaned.
