Projectile vomiting!!!

I have tried starting Rose on solid food - stick of soft cucumber, bit of smoked salmon, crust of bread, that sort of thing - and the minute she gets even a pin-head of food in her mouth she vomits. I know she has a sensitive gag reflex but it is ridiculous! At least half a cup of boob juice pours out of her like a fountain. I decided to give her apple puree to see if it was the "size" or texture but even then she spewed everywhere.

So is she just not ready for solids at all? Both my boys had solids in the traditional rice cereal-purees manner, and I was really keen to do BLS with Rose, but I am starting to think she ain't the ideal candidate. WDYT?

Doesn't bls mean waiting for bub's cues? Does she look interested in food, or is she putting stuff in her own mouth?

I'd wait a bit more & make sure she is really interested like littlelara said. Are you giving her boobie prior to food - she might also be full form the milk then any additional food is too much for her?

I think I will wait a few more weeks or month or so - she is having food after a nap (usually feeds before a sleep) but I think she is just a gagger. Good thing I am not worried about her "not eating solids" at 6 months - I think if she was my first bub I would really be fretting.
