    Kathy Walker-played based learning.

    is anyone familiar with this?? (google it if you need to)
    its in quiet a few Vic primary schools including the school were looking at for DD.
    what are your thoughts on it??

    Very familiar with it. I'm a big fan, it was drummed into us when studying. There's plenty of nay-sayers, but I think it works. And works well.

    That's awesome. I'm mostly familiar with under fives, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

    im still agonising of where to send our DD's, its so hard i like two school, the one with the play based learing and another primary, i need someone to tell me what to do

    I know Kathy Walker and have a great respect for her on many levels.

    I haven't had much experience with the play-based model in practice in schools but I think, in theory it is excellent.

    I would certainly like to send my children through a play based model of education. Without a doubt.

    I went to our local PS this morn for their open day and they actually mentioned this so think I need to look it up and learn more about it.
