DS, 11 months, seems to have inherited his mummy's hayfever. I will take him to the docs next week just to make sure it isn't anything else, but in the meantime, is there anything I can do for him? He's sneezing all the time, has a runny nose and itchy, red eyes. If he's like me, it's just the change of seasons and he'll be OK in a few weeks, but that's a long time for a little one...
I know you can get antihistamines for under twos but you do have to have a drs script for it. So take him in to make sure it is hayfever and they should be able to help you out.
Poor darling, hayfever sux for us it must be so hard when he doesnt understand
Ta, will look into that when we see the doc. He was no fun at all yesterday (or last night) and woke up with his usual sneezing fit today, but was fine by mid-morning. he stays that way.
Jleigh - I am pretty sure you can get claryntyne or zyrtec from the chemist. I had to use it for Tiana when she was a baby cause of allergies. As long as it is non-drowsy I think you will be fine with no script
Hi Jleigh - you can get children's Claratyne over the counter, I had to use it on A last week as the Doc thought her rash was an allergic one and he figured she was close enough to 1 to give it ago - he gave me a script but when I went to chemist they told me I didn't need it.
Hope your poor little man gets some relief soon - hayfever sucks!
