    Question Gas vs induction

    Ok I need help

    I am looking into a new cooktop To replace my current electric dinosaur

    So my question is which would you all say is good/better???

    If you can afford induction it is definitely the way to go, my brother in law is a chef and reports it's as good as gas for simmering etc and it's so much safer, especially with littlies in the house. No naked flame. Winner in every respect I would say.

    Ha Ha. i didn't see which forum this was posted in and thought you were talking about induction of labour and gas pain relief.

    LOL HOTI...so was I...I acually saw which forum it was and went "why on earth is she posting that in this section...Divvy'll be after her!"

    I would go induction over anything else...it is definitely the technology of thefuture and has the bonus of if you ever go solar that your power will be further reduced.

    Looks like I may have made my mind up already

    Now to start shopping for cooktops and for a whole new set of scanpan!!! Oooh!!!!

    So next question is what brand!?!?

    I'd take gas anyday - we get power failures here and it is sooooooooooo annoying not being able to cook when the power is out.
