Bali with a 5.5 month old

We are travelling to Bali next month with our DS, who will be 5.5 months old. I've only been to Bali pre-baby and I didn't pay any attention to baby orientated stuff so I've got a few questions about it.

We are staying in a villa in Uluwatu for the first 5 days so I'm planning on taking enough nappies to cover that stay, but then we move to Nusa Dua for 5 days. Is there somewhere in Nusa Dua that sells nappies - or would we need to travel to Kuta? Are they ridiculously expensive in ND - would I be better just to take enough from here to cover the whole trip?

He's not yet on solids and I'm going to try and keep him on BF/FF until we return. When I am making up formula, do I need to boil the bottled water first? Do I need to take lots of formula with me, or can I buy it out there? Or maybe I should take those ready-made sachets?

Someone I met the other day mentioned bathing him in bottled water or sterilising the tap water with some kind of sterilising tablet - is that necessary? If so, what is the tablet? The only thing that springs to mind is something we used when I used to go camping as a child to sterilise the river water for drinking.

I know there are some international medical centres in Bali - has anyone got the details of ones they particularly recommend near Nusa Dua?

I don't fancy lugging our car seat all over the place, and having been to Asia I presume most babies are just carried on laps while in the car - is this a problem other than the very obvious reason. Are there any car seat laws in Bali?

Thanks for your help ladies - this trip seemed like a good idea at the time but now I'm not so sure.

Haven't been to Bali but took dd to Fiji at the same age.

    * for the flight you can take some boiled water and those pre made formulas on with you (ready to drink ones). Airport staff here are very good when they see u have a baby
    * you can wander around the airport with the pram and leave it at the gate to be added to your luggage then. You can then pick it up on the other side when collecting luggage
    * you do need to boil bottled water. Just a precaution. It should be ok but it's better to be safe
    * we took enough nappies for the trip (7 days). Just in case you can't get to a shop or anything. I actually came home with heaps
    * same with formula. Packed a fresh tin. They may have different brands over there and made slightly different

Basically i took/take whatever we need

Don't stress it's great taking them
