Teaching Montessori at home ~ child in mainstream school

I probably won't be able to send my child to an alternative school because of financial & location reasons.

If I were to teach her for example, Montessori principles at home (not formally, just through play etc) do you think it would confuse her when she starts mainstream primary school?

I just thought it might be a way to enhance her learning, even though she may not be able to have formal alternative education.

I don't see how it would at all - any play-based learning is a good thing IMO.
