    Combined birthday present ideas needed please???

    We are going to a combined party in a few weeks for my friends little girls. The twins will be four and baby girl is turning the big 1

    I am stumped as to what to get for them because they seem to have pretty much everything. And being that there are twins they have two of it as well!

    I was thinking maybe I could get them all a bigger present to share (being the practical parent I am) but cant think of something that all three would equally enjoy. So maybe three differnt presents would be easier??
    Not that I can think of anything anyway. I cant think of things to buy my own kids let alone having to buy 3 gifts for someone elses

    So any lovely ladies in BB land have some great ideas???

    That is a tough one! I'd be inclined to get a joint present too, seems like the easiest way. Can you ask the parents if there is anything the girls need?

    My first thought was Mega Blocks or Duplo. If they already have some then it just gets built onto their stash! I'm not much help with girls though, sorry

    What sort of budget are you looking at? That might help with suggesting ideas

    How about art supplies? Paints, canvasses etc?

    depending on your budget i would get perhaps get the twins a combined present and the little one something practical
    saw an outdoor thing for the twins- a see saw ? totem tennis set? hopscotch and skipping ropes? even some scooters- you can pick them up for $30 each!!

    for the little one- perhaps some cute outfits? even a little trike? or ride on little push car thingy

    definately not more indoor toys as i am betting that they have enough to sink a battleship with 3 girls!!

    other things that they all could share is an outdoor table and swing seat, portable DVD player for the car, even just a bunch of DVD's!!!

    then if you get desparate there is always the game theme too use as well!!! good ole family fun games!!

    Are there any kiddy concerts playing anywhere near you? Tickets for the big girls could work - even just movie tickets. We haven't taken Nat to the movies yet (and she's 4) but I think she'd probably do ok and quite a number of her friends have been before. Then maybe a separate gift for the 1yo (and who can guess what they'll latch onto at that age, LOL! Everything and nothing...)

    One combined gift that has been great for my kids was the addition of a sand/water table. Both of them at 3 and 1 enjoyed it (the sand got too messy for me so I just made it a water table) and during summer they happily played together for ages with it!

    Otherwise, I second the art supplies, or Gelli Baff & bath crayons & bath toys. (Bath toys are always a goer IMO because they get so grungy after a while if you don't keep up with keeping them super clean so I am always chucking stuff out.)

    Thumbs up bday cakes

    Hi! You might want to ask their parents if you can handle the buying of their birthday cake/s.
    I think it is a nice idea to give birthday cakes so it would be more personalized.

    Depending on budget and if they have it already:

    * sand/water table
    * Mini kitchen
    * craft packs
    * Books (set of something)
    * Fish - obviously before buying a pet you'd need to ask parents

    Otherwise i'd suggest asking the parents if there is anything they NEED, i much prefer people ask to get an idea than just buying random things.
