My nearly 3 week old DS has a rash only on his face. It doesn't appear to bother him, but it flares up more when he has a bottle (he's formula fed) and just looking at it makes me sad for him. It looks like little pimples.
Is he allergic to his formula??? Is it something else?? So confused.
dd has little bumps on her face. like little white heads, the come and pretty fast, she is bf. someone said that it was hormones from being inside??? dont know if thats true?? she is 4 weeks.
Its just a hormone/milk rash hun. Most newborns get it. DS had it really bad. DD1 didnt get it and DD2 has had them only mild. DD2's cleared up within a few days, whereas DS's lasted a few weeks. Doesnt hurt or effect them at all. Only person they effect is us because we have to look at them Theyre something to do with hormones transferred to them during labour & birth. But just dont squeeze them or they could scar.. so dont worry to much, wont be long and he'll have his beautiful newborn skin back.
DD is only just getting rid of hers now...I foung using the Gaia Soothing Lotion really settled them down and almost took them away completetelty. I discovered this by accident as I wasn't too worried about it as I knew it would go away on it's own, but was putting the lotion on after bath time anyway. xo
They actually look a lot better today so I'm going to step away from the panic button... lol. Call me superficial but it was bothering me the way people stared at him and asked me what was up with his face. Poor DS! Not to mention the cast on his leg to correct his clubfoot. I hate the way it makes me feel when people stare at these things and ask questions................... as if they think I broke his bloody leg!
