    Korean Air/Etihad

    Hi everyone,

We'll be travelling in June, to go across Europe, first stop Istanbul.

Trying to sort out the tickets is a bit worrying, has anyone travelled on Korean and how does it compare with Etihad. I have two children that will need to be kept busy, so apart from what I can give them, does anyone know what the services for kids on Korean is like? I've always heard good things about Etihad...so I'm a little unsure of which way to go.

Would love to have some advice...

    thnx

I have flown both Korean and Etihad from Sydney to London and back. When I went Korean it was with my DH, when I went Etihad it was with my 7 month old DS.

My experience with Korean was great. My experience with Etihad was mixed, one leg was great, the other three were bad.

I think when you’re flying with kids all airlines are much the same really. Even though I didn’t fly with kids with Korean, I would say that in my experience, they would be a better choice than Etihad, just because my experience with Korean was much better generally.

Really, I'm so anxious, I've never flown with them and so I'm a bit worried about keeping the kids busy....my daughter will be 9 and my son will be 8, they've travelled this long before 2 years ago so they're 2 years older now..but yeah would be nice if I know they're going to have a movie screen on the back of a seat or some computer games.....just for the trip.

How was the food? we eat mostly vegetarian or seafood...

Flew Etihad to uk with 5 month old, was fine I think the airlines are all pretty similar really have flown quite a few long haul though never Korean and all have had own tv with shows and games on it - think is fairly standard these days is only the shorter flights don't get your own screen in my recent experience. If want vegetarian specify when book the ticket, airline food never great but normally edible, vegetarian dishes often quite spicy though.

    ohh ok fair enough

I think the spice might be to make up for the absence of meat :/ wouldn't mind some seafood...will be packing snacks for the kids regardless, thx for the reminder for when booking though.

may buy a portable dvd player to take with us, so they can use it if they want o'seas or when we get back, will need to check out the prices tho, travel games, books are all sorted.
