Last week my DD started getting a nappy rash. It wasn't super bad but it quickly got worse. We were using moo goo but it wasn't doing the trick and I love that stuff and thought it could heal anything! I think it was brought on by the antibiotics she was on. Anyway, as the moogoo didn't fix it up I figured it might be fungal so went to the chemist and got some daktozin. When I went to put it on her I realised there were little blister type bumps on her Then the next morning they had burst and looked like ulcers. My poor bubba was waking at night shrieking until we changed her nappy. So we swapped to disposables and used the daktozin at every change and it has now cleared up. We're still using the cream once a day but I think really it is just scarring left. We can probably go back to moo goo but DH and I are now worried that this is going to leave a scar............any ideas?
my DD had really bad thrush for like 2 weeks before we got her on daktozin, it was all bumpy and yuck and gross and blistered. We used daktozin for a few days and it healed up but we kept using it for about 1-2 weeks after at every change to make sure every trace of the thrush was gone.
Her bum now is lovely and smooth and clear, so I wouldn't worry just yet. DD's was HORRID and is ok now.
One of my kids (and how terrible is this I forget which one) had terrible nappy rash which left what looked like a scar for a few weeks, maybe longer. It cleared up completely though, I'm sure your little one will be fine
DD1 had a Thrush I had treated it with every cream I had to no avail and by the time we had worked it out it has blistered and I felt like a horrible mother , but once we got the right cream going and it cleared up, it did take a week or two to completely go, her gorgeous round bum was back to normal
Take care and hugs to your little poppet and you xxoo
