Tell me about your Virgo child... or other Virgos you know

Well, I never gave much cred to astrology, but the more I've read, the more I realise that I completely fit the description of a Gemini. DH certainly acts a lot like the classic Airies, and as DD develops, yep, there are definitely a lot of Taurean traits there.

This little bundle will be a Virgo if he/she arrives around the due date, and TBH, that scares me a bit. I only know 2 Virgos and they're both thoroughly neurotic. Very anxious, self-depricating and perfectionistic. Throw in a strong genetic predisposition toward anxiety disorders - and I'm wondering if I'm going to have a little worry-wart on my hands.

So tell me about your little Virgo. Are they anxious? Perfectionistic? And if so, how do you cater for this? Or are you a Virgo? And if so, do you consider yourself to have these traits?

    TIA

    I don't have a little Virgo, but I'm a Virgo.

I think I'm pretty calm usually, takes a lot to really get me fired up, but I hurt easily and keep it bottled mostly. I'm somewhat shy, have to be really comfortable to be myself around a group of people. I get anxious, but I don't think I get anymore anxious than the next person. I can be a perfectionist with some things (like decorating a cake - which I'm okay at, not perfect so it's a vicious battle with myself!) but other things I'm happy giving them a once over and a "it'll do" sort of attitude. I'm happiest at home with my family around me and prefer being with one or two close friends than a massive group of people (although I do try to push myself that way and be a bit more outgoing). People who know me say I'm pretty calm. HTH.

PRMG, are we the same person? You just described me. I'm quiet until I get to know someone, can get anxious and worry over the small things, I like to have everything in order and out and measured when I cook. It is the only thing that I can be truely anal over like a true virgo!

My mum was a Virgo & she was such a bubbly, carefree person. She was optimist & a really strong woman.
She was never shy, she was the kind of person who strike up a conversation with a complete stranger.
She was far from anxious she always had a things will work out for the best attitude.
She could be anal over certain things & it would drive me nuts. She could be so stubborn as well.

That describes me to a tee as well.

Cooking seems to be my one thing that I am constantly battling my 'perfectionist' ways with. Whatever I make is never good enough in my eyes, even if everyone is going back for seconds. (strange how the 3 of us all have issues with our cooking? That's really interesting...)

I'm definitely get louder, more comfortable and more opinionated the longer you know me. Am very shy around new people and don't tend to say much in a large group... on my wedding day, I was more nervous because everyone would be looking me rather than nervous about getting married!!

Could be the perfectionist in me, but I like to have things planned. When we go on holidays, I find it hard just going with the flow... DH and I have done a few driving holidays in the US and Europe and I would take a folder with accomodation choices I had researched on the net before leaving home. In saying that, many people say that I'm very easy going...

    I am surrounded by Virgos.

DH, Angel and Chill are all Virgo.

DH is as bad as it gets because all aspects of his persona are virgo. Sun, moon and AC. He is a bit of a perfectionist, but there is some benefit. He plans things carefully, works extremely hard, avoids things that would not assist his future aspirations and takes his responsibilities very seriously.

But he can have a lot of fun too. I mean its all very well planned fun. We go to the beach to have fun, but you can rest assured that there is a charged mobile, cash in his wallet for emergencies and a fully stocked first aid kit in the car. I find these traits to be extremely awesome.

Wish Angel and Chill had them, lol.

My DS is a virgo and he is the most easy going kid. He is very calm, always happy. (nickname is smiley!) He gets along with everyone. Will make friends with anyone. Has never started a fight with other kids. As a baby would just let others take toys from him without complaining. Hes very polite and very confident. Very very mature for his age. Loves learning and learns very easily. Can read words by sounding them out and can count to the high hundreds. He is very protective of his family and friends. He has only had once instance with anxiety where he didnt want to eat because he thought he would choke. This was about a month ago. But we worked on it and started with very small pieces and hes past it all now. I get bad anxiety too but this is the only instance we've had with him.
Oh yes, he can be stubborn, to the point he will make himself eat all his dinner, even if he is full and it will make him sick (not that hes been sick from it), so he can get dessert.

I grew up surrounded by Virgos and my mum and sister are that to a tee, but my DH is the exact opposite....I'm sure he should have been born in another month all together. He's firey, aggressive and certainly not a perfectionist. Neurotic he is not. He is lazy and couldn't give two hoots about what anyone else thinks. He was also a naughty naughty kid.

I am a virgo, my mum is one, as is my nanna.
I can be a perfectionist at times, though with some things, I can't be bothered. Some things I can take a 'what ever happens' kind of attitude, where as others I am very 'what if', itms, I can be very meticulous too, and the details of things can be important to me and distracting. I like things to be clean and pristine and messyness messes with my psyche! Though my DH has helped me with the more easy going attitude, as he is very 'what ever happens, happens' with most things and it is wearing off on me too.
I can be quite shy, but once I get to know and trust someone, I give my all. And I can talk and talk! I can also fake confidence pretty well. I don't have alot of friends or acquantences, though those I do have I treasure and would do anything for. I liek to sit back and watch alot of the time, and only join in when I feel confident in my abilities and those peopel around me. Sometimes I can come across as being a b itch, though it's my own insecurities not my judging others which makes me seem like that. But I am open and non judgemental and a realist.
I can be over critical of things sometimes, and expect alot of others because I expect alot of me. I like to be praised for my efforts and it upsets me when I don't get noticed if I have done something well. I tend to seem agreeable in alot of things, though I may not totally agree, I will say I do to keep the peace. I don't like cofrontation or anger. I also can't handle my own frustration or anger well and don't express it well.
