    Worried - Asthma

My dd3 (2.5yrs) is a chronic asthmatic...she has had 7 hospital admissions for respiratory related illnesses since leaving the nursery (including an ICU stay)
She can go down hill very quickly.
She has been ill the last couple of days and this morning she has had a loud audible wheeze and some recessions....and her eyes are really dark.
She has had her flixotide and several doses of ventolin this morning.
Her dad came and picked the girls up about an hour ago...I was reluctant for her to go but he was insistent and I know he knows what to look for.
Now he just rang me as she just had a really bad coughing fit and he is considering taking her to PMH. He is going to keep and eye on her.
I am now stressed and worried...I hate not being there with her
Now I am just going to sit next to the phone.

Get to the hospital. Tell him to take her there. Asthma is dangerous.

I should know - I had my boys in hospital 4 times in the last year with asthma attacks.

Please tell him to take her to hospital as she could get very bad very fast.

I would be worried too. I hope your ex takes her to hospital straight away and you can meet them there xx

Asthma is so scary, I would be worried too. I'm sure he won't hesitate to take her to hospital, hopefully you get hold of him soon.

I got through to him...he is right near PMH so he is going to take her in to get checked.
My littlest man is sound asleep so I will wait until he wakes to head in myself.
I feel better knowing he is taking her to get checked.
    Thanks for your support

They have been seen. She has a whezze but they are happy it is responding well to ventolin.
Her sats are sitting around 96-97% so that is really good and she still has reasonably air entry.
They will keep her in for the next two hours to monitor her.
They have also given her pred (steriods)
    I am relieved.
I really is hard not to worry when asthma can get bad so quick...it is scary to watch.
He was going to keep her overnight but he is going to bring her back here for the night.

Well at least he had enough insight to get her to the hospital to get checked out. Glad she's coming home. Phew.

Keep up the redipred for days... day 5 gets interesting... mine go absolutely psycho aggressive! Mind you, as do I... Div on steroids is NOT pretty!

Good luck with little one. So glad things worked out ok.
