    Question Hand swelling

Before i rush off to the doctors thinking i'm dying i thought i would ask here first and see if anyone can shed some light.

I only just noticed now that both my hands are swollen, i noticed because my rings have become tight and when i had a closer look my hands are completely swollen. My right hand in particular is much worse, the swelling is all the way on the top of my hand where as my left is just my fingers.

I also have this weird tingley sensation in my hands, feels like pins and needles.

I worked today so i dont know if im having a slight allergic reaction to dust or a box i may have touched...

    Basically i have no idea..

hmmm it does sound like a reaction. I'd ask the pharmacist there may be something you can buy over the counter. You can also call them to save you the trip if you do have to see a dr.

I would first be putting them in some cold water and put some sort of oil on them and get your rings off.
Try an antihistamine or go to the chemist and see if the Pharmacist may be able to help , if that doesn't work, ring nurse on call or go to your emergency dept.

I get this every now and then.. I have no idea what it is... my fingers/hand swell up randomly. Usually when I've been out all day shopping or something like that (I have no idea what relevance that is?) But yes, my family teases me about it because they think I'm bunging it on... lol it hurts! Running it under cold water helps, it eventually goes down for me. I've no idea what it is... may be a reaction?

I've just realised I've been of no help whatsoever lol!

    I hope the swelling stops

They are not so swollen but are tingly. The best way to describe to my DP what i mean by tingly is you know when you are outside in the middle of winter and your hands are freezing and you come inside where its nice and warm and they kind of hurt? thats what it feels like so last night in bed they felt cold but when DP touched them they werent....

I don't know if they are linked but i am in SO much pain in my back, legs and feet. Usually i am relatively sore after work but never this bad so i dont know if i should get checked out or im being a sook.

Oh and i have noticed my lower back swells when iv been working but it was MUCH worse last night.

sounds like you might have a pinched nerve somewhere.. I would go to the Dr and get checked out.
