    Tell me about Shape-up shoes

    As the title suggests;

    Can you tell me about this style of shoe, do they work?
    I am considering buying a pair, but dont want to shell out the cash for a gimmick.
    I walk most days so figure if they are effective i will get the benefits from it.

    THanks in advance

    I use mine for just general running around, like to the shops (if they go with what I'm wearing - very particular about my shoes & clothes going). I do not use them when I'm doing any proper exercise as they don't give me as much support as say my running shoes do for walking/jogging/running or my cross-trainers for general gym work.

    I walk a bit straighter when I'm wearing them as the shape of the soles force you to. I find that if I wear them and then decide to go running the same day, it stuffs up my stride for running because they encourage you to walk heel to toe, you don't run the same way.

    I got the diodora ones and grabbed them off ebay.

    Thanks for your replies,

    I have to wear orthotics in runners, i wonder if this will make them more ineffective?

    I have the fit-flops. Not a huge fan but after a day you can feel the difference.
    If you have joint or balance issues then they're not great.

    I have fit-flops.. it took me a bit to get used to them but now they are my everyday shoes.. they are just slip ons though so I would not reccomend them for running & sports.
    But I do think they are super comfy, and I fell like my feet are well supported.
    I got them off ozsale.

    There is an anesthetist at work who has a back injury and SWEARS by them SJ. We also have a nurse who recently brought some back from O/S (she also has long term back and neck issues) and is madly in love with them...so much so she just bought another 3 pairs off the internet! I've considered them but not quiet ready to take the plunge just yet... I can ask the girl at work which brand she is wearing if you like.
