I'm posting on behalf of my sister.
Her husband was incredibly abusive - mentally, physically and emotionally... He was not a nice person at all, very dark...
He committed suicide in their garage while everyone else was inside the house.
The garage doesn't have any bad vibes - it just feels really sad.. But the house has several bad vibes throughout it..
She isn't in the position to move, she owns the house and has 4 kids - what can I do/suggest to help cleanse the house?
Get rid of as much of his stuff as possible, rearrange furniture/rooms to be completely different from when he was living there, paint walls if she can. Put her and her kids stamp on the place.
Get some sage, burn it in all rooms, make sure the smoke gets into all corners. Play her favourite music LOUD.
Open the place up, open all the windows & doors, let the breezes flow through.
This is something that she can do with all the kids, get them all to go into every room and clap around the room. It wakens up the energies in the room, frightening off all the "bad" stuff.
I'd also probably throw a happy party in the garage so it gets replaced with happy energies instead of the sad energies in the garage.
Everything that Sopdet said! Plus sandlewood incense is a great thing to burn when you are really happy and the mood/vibe/energy is 'good' as it holds that energy in the room. So when you are happy you could go into the garage and burn sandlewood in there to make it feel a bit better in there too. I'd only do this after the room has been cleansed with sage etc.
My mum using a sage smudging stick to cleanse houses. It seems to really help. There would be a crystal which would help with cleansing too, you normally put them on a windowsill. Any good crystal/psychic shop could help with that. The girls have given you some good ideas above though.
