Exclamation OMG - can't believe what I just did

I'm sitting here shaking. I just had DS in the pram for a short walk home from mothers' group. I had a little cotton hat on his head bc it is cold here. During the walk it must have slipped down COVERING HIS NOSE AND MOUTH!!!! he had been grizzling so he must have turned his head a lot. But I didn't know - when we arrived home and I went to get him from the pram I discovered this! I freaked - he wasn't stirring but his chest was rising and falling - turned out he was in a deep sleep but I am still totally freaked out. He seems fine - could he have been deprived of oxygen??? - it's a tiny cotton cap but it's close knit. I can't believe I let this happen. I normally check on him during walks but I was busy chatting away - I can't believe what I did.

Don't freak too much, although I know how you feel. I've done this before.
    I'm sure he'll be OK.

    Big hugs!

The cotton is breathable so he will have been fine.

If he was deprived of oxygen he would not be breathing. He is fine

I remember when my DD was only afew weeks old, she pulled her arms out of her wrap in such a way the wrap was covering her face, I woke up 2 check on her and found her like that!!! Scariest few seconds ever!! She was fine tho, it was only a light muslen wrap but gosh!!!!!

Please don't worry, he'd have been blue if there was problem. Scary, but he's fine, don;t worry!

Thanks so much - it's so scary what can happen in a few minutes. I don't think I'll be using hats that often unless it is freezing!
