Student midwife

Hey,
I have been denied access to the midwifery group practice in SA, as I have a chronic medical condition.
I was pretty gutted at first, but then thought perhaps a student midwife would a good "next best" idea, I can help them, they can help me...
Just for additional help of course, along with the OB at the hospital.
I have contacted someone that had a post on BB, likely to meet her, just wondering if anyone else has done this before, had good/bad experiences?

ive got a student midwife with this pregnancy so while i havent yet given birth ill be happy to let you know how i go afterwards xoxo

I am going to meet with one from here, hope that she will be helpful.
Even if not, if I can help her I guess that's good.
They have to learn somewhere!
