    Inside of the kettle??

I have just a normal plastic kettle and I looked inside of it and its got a brown stain inside. Obviously from the water. I'm sure all kettles get it.

Any ideas as how to give it off?? I've scrubbed it and gotten alot of it off, but can't get to the brown under the element.

    Thanks

a Teaspoon of bicarb soda and Teaspoon of vinegar, a good swish and rinse should do the trick.

I'm pretty sure I boiled my kettle with vinegar in it (twice) and that worked a treat.

It may have faded it a little bit, but didn't get it all off. Gah, I'm so over it.

    Any other suggestions??

Thanks anyway! It did help a little.

My mum taught me a trick when I was younger...cut up about 3 lemons into quarters, put them in the kettle and fill with water, boil twice and wallah!!!! Like brand new.

I was going to suggest Amy's trick or some citric acid from the baking section in a kettle full boiled and left overnight.
