    Baby shower ideas....

My sisters very kindly want to hold a baby shower for me, something I didn't do with my other two. I am not a 'baby shower' kind of person (hate tacky games), so I am looking for ideas of things we can do. Does anyone have any fab baby shower experiences?? I can't go too alternative as some people wont cope.

My girl friend did a baby celebrity quiz. That was pretty good. She also asked everyone to write down their baby predictions - name, birthdate, weight. They were read out later.

my good friend threw me a book themed shower, it was heaps of fun and DS got a great little library out of it. It also meant we weren't inundated with clothes and other 'stuff' we already had or didn't need/want iykwim.

A suggestion might be to do a nice morning or afternoon tea somewhere where you can enjoy some time together?

We just had a BBQ lunch, guys & girls because we had a bit of a difficult time ttc & were both equally excited & wanted to celebrate together. So we organized a BBQ at a local park, it rained so we relocated to home. Was great lots of food, lots of mingling. Some footy for the guys and the girls played a few non embarrassing games. Unjumble the jumbled baby words, guess the weight etc. Was casual & everyone had a great time

We just had a lunch at a winery, no games or anything, but people brought small pressies and drank lots of wine and enjoyed the beautiful views. It was a lovely day.

I had a "celebrating of amazing women in my life" day. I wrote a note that told them I wanted to celebrate them as an amazing and influencing part of my life, and that together I would love them to celebrate with me, the new life I was bringing. We just had a lovely afternoon tea.

All great ideas and I will pass them onto the girls. I like the idea of a BBQ, but don't think they will approve. Thank you all for your input
