I would like to join in here too. My little girl, Alice, was born a week earlier than expected on the 30th of May. I guess I will be a bit of an outsider to start with, but that is OK. Looking forward to meeting all the mums and bubs in the late May babies group.

    Hey Bermme and shanti
I already.know Bermme from bellybuddies early June, and am not sure if I'll stay on bellybelly now bub is on the outside.
My bub came early too, 36wks 6days as I also needed my gall bladder removed at the same time.
It's odd to think Mary-Beth should still be in my belly.

My biggest probs at the moment is getting used to.bottle feeding, I breastfed my elder daughter til she was 2 then due to surgery last year am now in the 3% of women who officially can't, and there my baby is having so much wind pain.

Mary-Beth was a twin but little twin was lost at 14wks, it had been absorbed by placenta by the time of delivery so I remember that a bit. Especially imagining life with two newborns...

Going to get some sleep before next feed!

    Hi Girls,

My bub came on 24/5/11, a beautiful little girl, 9 days overdue, so it puts me in this thread. I was induced with gel on the Sunday, and more gel on the Monday morning and afternoon. ARM was done by OB on the Tues morning at 8am. Wanted to start me on synto drip straight away, but I said I wanted te epi first. Got epidural at 11:30am, then they checked and said I was 9 cm, so I didnt need the synto drip. (Not sure why they didnt check me before epi). My gorgeous daughter was born 3:47pm, 3.14kg (6lb9), 48.5 cm long, and a head full of hair!

Breastfeeding started off slowly, Bub was slow to learn and had poor latch which left me with sore, cracked and bleeding nipples. After many consults with LC's and help from the lovely BB members, breastfeeding is getting easier and less painful.

Bub was only small at birth, and has now regained her weight and 130g more at her last weigh in at 3 weeks old. The GP was concerned with this weight gain and said it wasnt enough, but my MCHN said it was within the normal range. Bub is doing about 8 feeds a day atm, and heaps of wet and poo nappies, so I think she is getting enough milk.

Shanti - How are you and your baby Lillian going?

Berrme - I recognise your name from the TTC thread when we were both TTC, how are you and how are you finding motherhood? Congrats on baby Alice.

Duckyboos - Are you sticking on BB now that bub is here? Always nice for somewhere to come if you need support and advice. Hows yor baby Mary Beth going?

This thread is quiet, are there any more mummies with babies 3-4 weeks out there?

After receiving a couple of PM's regarding this, I'm just posting to let all members know that you are welcome to join baby buddies groups that are not within the time frame your baby was born. If your baby was born in May (or not long before or after), you are welcome to post in this group or the other May 2011 group. Please don't let the exact dates stop you from chatting in the group you feel most comfortable in. BB is a very welcoming community

Hi Shanti. I have been slack in all my threads as I managed to get mastitis and the flu at the same time. Wasn't feeling much like posting on BB as I'm sure you can imagine. I was going to join both this thread and the early june one anyway so I could keep track of all my belly buddies. Everyone in my buddies group with DS2 had their bubs early... this time it was me, whoops.

Summertime, nice to see you over here in the babies section. It is definitely a more fun place to be than TTC. Being a mum of 3 is definitely making me work. The boys are nuts and Alice is the worst sleeper I have had, so I could be in with a rough few months.

Ducky, Hi. Hope all is well in your home now you know what is wrong with Jem... poor little thing! I think you should stick around, at least a bit.

emc2, looking forward to getting to know you. Are you a scientist or just like Einstein?

AFM, tired and busy, but loving having a newborn again. It seems so weird putting my bub in pink clothes instead of blue like I am used to. I even keep calling her 'he'. Oops!
    Better go, bub wants attention.

lol no they are my initials so they make for an easy username.

I also did that when I chose my son's name, his father liked the name Jim, so I insisted we put James on the birth certificate, and so with the baby's grandad's name (my Dad) and father's surname he has the initials JET!!

I am pretty sure he's going to take off like a rocket too, he's a strong baby.

I have joined the early May group as there's more people there.

    Hi girls

I might just stick to the other thread also like you guys are, and if people post in here, then I might sometimes post in here too.

All going great here, I have myself a fantastic sleeper (sorry Berrme!) but feel I deserve it after the sleep issues we have had with our DD1! it's a nice change.... it's still early days though... and babies can be very unpredictable as we all know!!! Just enjoying it while I can. She's asleep in the carrier at the moment while DD1 is still fast asleep (3hrs!!!) after a big play this morning with one of our friends who visited!! she's exhausted. I would normally be in bed too relaxing but I'm not too tired today.

See you over in the 1-15th thread

    Hi mummies!

Hello mummies of late May babies!
My name is Penny and I am currently posting after a feed!
I am desperate to talk with other mums of bubs around the same age.
My beautiful little boy Louis (pronounced Louie) was born on Wednesday 25th May.
I am finding this new experience to be wonderful but also fairly isolating.
My partner is out tonight playing a gig so I am doing my first night totally solo after spending most of the day on my own.
I just thought it would be great to get to know you and your babies so I can establish an online support group... And some like-minded company.
I look forward to hearing back from you all.
Oh and little Louis still hasn't cracked his first social smile... Have your bubs??
    Xx pen

    Hi Bibi,

This thread wasn't as active so some of us have either joined the early May or early June threads...which I suddenly can't find!

I am about to try Jim on Baby probiotics today to see if it helps his colic. I was on antibiotics after my caesar for quite a long time.

Jim started smiling a couple of weeks ago, reflecting my smile. He also pokes his tongue if I do it, but not quite out of his mouth!

    Hi Penny,
Have you gotten any smiles yet? Alice smiles, but she doesn't give them away easily. DS1 was a bit of a late smiler. Hopefully you get them soon, it is so nice when they start responding to you with their happy little faces.
I joined the Early June group but might join the early May one... seems to be the place to be. Not much happening in this one or the early June group.
Have you always lived in Ballina. My brother lived there for a while, nice part of the world.

Emc2, hope the probiotics work for Jim. I didn't have antibiotics after my c/s with DS1. Did you get an infection in your c/s scar?
