4 year old constipated and scared of poo

DD has had problems over the last couple months with poo I don't know what to do anymore.
First it started because she was scared of "poo slimes" so she started holding on. Then of course the poo comes out hard and it hurts and the problem worsens.
I have tried pear juice 2 cups daily, have just bought coloxyl drops, my next step I'm looking at is supposetries b/c its just been tiny hard pebbles coming out over the last week, she must be packed right up.
Then I think after we do finally empty out will we end up on the same cycle? Its more psychological so what do I do?

I had a similar issue with Dd, 3.5years recently. She was too busy to poo and kept holding on, then she got really constipated and it was painful. It was really traumatic for a few days until she finally managed to poo. Then she was scared to poo. (I just gave her lots of fruit and water) I had a few chats to her about it, told her it was hurting because she held on for so long. And told her she needs to try and poo everyday so it doesn't hurt. It seems to have worked ok but I still encourage her to try and poo when she goes to the loo.

Get some parachoc from the chemist. Use it daily and it will help heaps as it softens it all up and then when she's been passing soft ones for a while she'll hopefully forget about the pain. It might be a good idea to get her checked by the DR to rule out a small tear or fissure too, but they'll probably just tell you to get parachoc anyway so try that first

I've used suppositories on my boy when I've had to but unless you can get her to lay still and hold it in there for a while, it won't do much good because it will probably fall out pretty much straight away.
