I need a new hair style!

    Help!
My hairdresser is coming over tomorrow night and I have no idea what to ask her to do.

My old cut is the same as the Katie Holmes do http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ry6Y4MCjDE...400a073007.jpg and it works ok for me but it would be nice to try something else.

At the moment my hair has grown out a bit so I have a bit of length to play with but I want it short so it fits under my beanie. DH complains if it is too short so a short style that appears longer is always a plus lol.

I have fat cheeks so nothing that wouldn't suit a squirrel.

Not asking much am I? lol

ETA - no bangs!! I have a cow lick so they don't sit.

And it needs to be pretty much wash and wear.

What about something that's longer in the front but shorter at the back?

I have an angled bob, longer in the front shorter in the back.

It's very wash n wear but you need a good hair dresser or it can end up very "helmetish" at the back.

I have a bob too, slightly longer at the front (back is about bottom of ear level, front an inch longer), no bangs (have a cowlick too). Works well when I straighten my hair or leave it to go curly naturally. I can pull it up for the gym or use a headband. I also have it thinned, but that is done at the end after it has been dried/straightened.

I don't own a hairdryer (need to get one, keep on forgetting!) but do own a straightener, so when I do straighten it, it is dried with a hair towel and left to almost dry naturally before it is straighened, I just top-up the straightening every day or so if I'm keeping it straight. Currently it has been straight for nearly a week, with the cold I have at the moment I might wait until the weekend to wash it & let it go curly.

That might work seeing that I ride to work so I get helmet hair anyway

Have you tried those online or iphone apps that you put your pic in?

Mine is longer at the front and about 1-2inches short at the back. So easy, love it!

Firstly, what is your face shape and does you hair have a slight wave or is it dead straight?

Katie Holmes has a heart shaped face if that helps...

Thanks to the wonders of the internet, a web cam and a ruler I now know that my face is somewhere between heart and oval. And that squirrel isn't actually a legitimate shape.

    My hair is wavy.

I like the pixie cut but I know that DH would hate it. He would say it looked great but secretly hate it and tell me a year later....

    Gah, men

How 'bout a Scar-Jo bob? http://fashionrules.com/tag/mango/ Last picture, although I like the new one too, but might be too close to what you already have...

DH says he doesn't mind a short style so long as it is sexy
    So pixie cut it is.
I have to admit I'm a tad nervous. It's been about 8 years since I last had a short-short style and I'm pretty sure that my face looks different now..... maybe I'll chicken out and stick to my short bob lol.
